Boys Basketball
Community Service Players and coaches
for the London High School Red Raider JV and Varsity
boys basketball teams participated in a community service
project during the recent Christmas holiday season.
On Saturday, December 19, the teams helped distribute
Christmas gifts at the
annual H.E.L.P. House gift distribution day. In November
the teams hosted Kenton Ridge in an OHSAA Foundation
game. Proceeds from that game will soon be distributed
to: The Food Pantry, Food Thru Faith, H.E.L.P. House,
Visions of Hope, and Junior Achievement.

Care for Life & Sport
Nationwide Children's Hospital Sports Medicine
and London High School are proud to celebrate National
Athletic Training Month during March. This year’s
theme is “Health Care for Life & Sport.”
The National Athletic
Trainers Association (NATA) represents professional
who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment
and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. Certified
Athletic Trainers (ATC) are allied healthcare professionals
who hold at least a bachelors degree and are focused
on injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation
particularly in the orthopedic and musculoskeletal disciplines.
Athletic trainers provide value and financial return
on investment to secondary schools, occupational employers,
physicians, hospitals, and clinics. For more information
about the profession of athletic training please visit

Nationwide Children's
Hospital Sports medicine is proud to be the provider
of athletic training services to London High School.

Forms Must Be Turned In To the Athletic Office...
Completed
forms must be turned in to the Athletic Office before
you can participate in any sport. You must also
go to the Athletic office and pick up the OHSAA Athletic
Eligibility Bulletin. You are required to read this
bulletin. This form does not need to be returned.
Your signatures on the Athletic Participation Form acknowledges
you read it.
OHSAA Pre Participation
Physical Exam Form...
A
doctor's physical examination is necessary to verify that
your athlete is physically able to participate in sports.
If you are aware of special medical concerns of your athlete,
we ask that you make the coach and athletic trainer aware
of the problem. This is very important for us in handling
treatment of an injury or medical problem. (two-sided

Matt Schramm, Senior 285#: Won 8-6 decision over Tom Lauer, Bishop Fenwick lost on pin by Mike Rutherford, Norton lost 4-0 decision to Codey Welker, Celina. Arron Thompson, Sophomore 125#: lost by pin to Johnni DiJulius, Walsh Jesuit lost 3-2 decision to Travis vonNeumann, Dayton Carroll. Matt Perez, Senior 119#: lost by pin to Dennis Leonetti, North Geauga won 6-4 decision over Tyler Hackworth, Oak Harbor won 4-2 decison over Shawn McGee, Steubenville won 3-1 decision over Keaton Webb, Miami Trace 7TH PLACE STATE FINISH.

London finished 5th with 88.0 points (highest finish ever)
119: Matt Perez District Champion (State Qualifier). 125: Arron Thompson 4th Place (State Qualifier). 160: Shane Silvers 6th Place. 189: Keith Carius 5th Place (State Alternate). 285: Matt Schramm District Runner-Up (State Qualifier). Happy to place 5 out of 9 that we took. Most State Qualifiers ever.
