December 9, 2006 LHS Assistant Track Coach Earns Hall of Fame
Membership...
Mariclare Logue, LHS
Assistant Girls Track Coach, was inducted into the Rossford
High School Athletic Hall of Fame on December 9th. In
track, she earned All-NLL and All-District honors and
qualified for the Regional in the 3200 Relay and the
1600 and 3200 Runs. Cross Country was her forte as she
was the first Rossford female to qualify and run in
the State Meet. She was a four year Regional qualifier
earning All-NLL and All-District kudos in the process.
Upon graduation in 1990, she was the top female cross
country runner in school history dating back to 1972.
She is a business and economics teacher at LHS and lives
in Galloway with her husband Rick and daughters Lindsay
and Emily. Congratulations Mariclare!
December 9, 2006 LHS Varsity Girls Softball Coach Earns Hall
of Fame Membership...
Congratulations
to Kelly Skaggs, a sixth grade teacher at London Elementary
School and the LHS Varsity Girls Softball Coach. Kelly
was inducted into her High School's Athletic Hall of
Fame on December 3rd. Coach Skaggs graduated in 1984
from Chalker (Southington) High School in Trumball County
where she played Volleyball, Basketball and Sofball.
Kelly continued her career at Heidelberg College in
Tiffin, she returned to Chalker in 1989 as a Softball
Coach. In the fourteen years that followed, she and
her teams amassed a 218-93 record, eight League Championships,
one League Co Championship, five District Championships,
two Regional Runner Up Titles, one Regional Championship
and one State Championship in 1998. This past spring
was Coach Skaggs first year as the LHS Varsity Softball
Coach. The Team ended the season with at 5-15 record.
She noted that her first two seasons at Chalker yielded
6-11 and 5-11 records before the winning tradition started.
Congratulations to Coach Skaggs on this Outstanding
Honor!
